In 2011, the Norwegian research foundation SINTEF established a private, independent non-profit Brazilian research association, the Instituto SINTEF do Brasil (ISdB), based in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2015, after the board´s decision in Norway, ISdB has undergone a reestructuring process, which culminated in the transfer of all legal and management obligations into a more focused, lean management & flexible operation, under the new name: ISDB FlowTech.
ISDB FlowTech will now focus in Flow and Reservoir applications, with close links to the technical teams at SINTEF in Norway, through a long term cooperation agreement.
